Philips Photonic Textiles

When I was surfing through some information on my thesis project, I came across this cool design by Philips. This is called "Turn fabrics into intelligent displays" and wanted to share with you.
"Within Philips Research, the Photonic Textiles business unit will develop and commercialize products based on the concept as we have shown at the IFA. Photonic textiles open up a wide range of applications in the fields of ambient lighting, communication, and personal health care. Photonic textiles are still a young business. Even at this early stage, however, Philips envisions partnerships with interior and apparel brands that see the potential of photonic textiles to revolutionize the very concept of fabric. The demonstration at IFA is also meant to show the opportunities offered by this technology and to gain customers’ and visitors’ feedback on these options." endless technology...

Check out this web site!

I think this site is one of the best interactive web site i ever seen.
one great thing about the site is that you can change menu location by dragging it.

Overview of the site:

They Rule aims to provide a glimpse of some of the relationships of the US ruling class. It takes as its focus the boards of some of the most powerful U.S. companies, which share many of the same directors. Some individuals sit on 5, 6 or 7 of the top 500 companies. It allows users to browse through these interlocking directories and run searches on the boards and companies. A user can save a map of connections complete with their annotations and email links to these maps to others. They Rule is a starting point for research about these powerful individuals and corporations.

Photo Booths

Crap. messed up again... why the heck is the "Save as Draft" button on the left and "Publish Post" on the right?!!!!! Conventionally the button on the left is OK and the one on the right is CANCEL. Having it the way it is causes me to accidentally click "Save as Draft" everytime. This is crappy design D=<
